TEACHER TRAINING

ONLINE!

"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future."

~ John F. Kennedy

The Yoga Therapy for Youth Foundations 100-hour Teacher Training is a foundational training in therapeutic approaches to support children and youth ages 5-17 with emotional, physical and mental health and well-being.

Children today are over-scheduled, over-stressed and over-stimulated. When given the proper tools and coping skills to manage stress, children can thrive physically, socially, emotionally and academically.

Research has shown that the practice of yoga & mindfulness for children and youth can increase self-awareness and self-regulation, increase attention, support more positive social relationships with self and others, decrease anxiety and improve

behaviors.

In addiiton, studies have shown that yoga, pranayama and meditation improves digestion, supports better sleep, strengthens the immune system, increases cardiovascular health, strengthens the lymphatic system and improves overall strength, flexibility, stamina & endurance.

Participants who complete this training will receive a Certificate of Completion in 100-hours training in Yoga Therapy for Youth.

*Please note: 800 hours + in an IAYT Accredited Yoga Therapy Program is required in order to be a "Certified Yoga Therapist". This training offers therapeutic approaches to working with a wide range of youth, however it does not equal being a Certified Yoga Therapist upon completion.

Participants who have completed the Asanas for Autism and Special Needs Level 1 and Level 2 Trainings, will receive a 200-hour Yoga for Children and Youth with Complex Needs Certification through Asanas for Autism and Special Needs (with the completion of a final 5 hour Course requirement).

This course is an APD course through International Association of Yoga Therapists and counts as 80 CEU's.
